Worship and Word

 

Our desire is to meet, share the word of God and worship Him so that we may fulfil our role as outlined in 1 Peter chapter 2 verse 9.

 

 

“a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God,

that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light”.

 

 

 

Our prayer is that we would all want to encourage each other by sharing what God is saying to each of us.

 

 

This would help each of us to accomplish our personal priestly role.

 

 

Who is it for?

 

It’s for those who want a deeper relationship with God

• Perhaps you are always giving out and need some time to receive from Him.
• Perhaps you are part of the church leadership or you lead a group or activity and want some quality time with God
• Perhaps your job, or some voluntary work takes all your time
• Perhaps you just want to find out more

 

What’s the format?

 

There will be a flexible framework of worship and word into which we trust God will guide and lead us into a deeper relationship with him.

 

There will be different forms of worship and word, which will enable everyone to participate.

 

We hope that as we seek God,

some will have a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church

What does it involve?

 

If you feel that God has given you something for the service or feel that there is a topic that we should address please mention this to one of the core group members.

Proverbs chapter 27 verse 17

 

 

 

As we prepare ourselves to worship God, let us examine ourselves so that there is nothing in us that would offend or displease Him,

 

so that we would truly be

a Holy People, a Royal Priesthood,

 

 whom God is pleased with and wants to meet with, as any father would his children.

Seeking God

 

 

Be a GOD CHASER

 

A God chaser is someone whose desire for God exceeds their ability to ‘catch’ him

 

Catching Him – Impossible

 

Divine Tag

 

It’s like an adult playing chase with a child.

The adult can artfully dodge this way and that and the child can’t catch them,

 

But then,

 

just as the child begins to despair,

the adult turns, bends down and scoops up the child in their arms

and hugs them close to their heart.
