RS2 meets on the 2nd & 4th Sunday in the Scout Hut.
RS2 is led by Dave Moakes & Alison Grimwood, ably assisted by Pete Williams, Rachael Sherry & Laura Grimwood.
We have about 10 regular members who meet for toast, chat and most importantly to learn more about God and scripture while having fun at the same time.
We give thanks to God for the young people who continue to come each fortnight and enjoy scripture with us and pray that each one might draw closer to God.

RS2 has continued to run on 2nd & 4th Sunday's in the Scout Hut for young people between the ages of 11 & 14,
led by Ali Grimwood and Dave Moakes.
There are approximately 10 young people who regularly attend the group and
they are enthusiastic about the activities and teaching provided by the Youth for Christ RS2 format that is used.
We are also extremely grateful for the assistance of 3 young people who help in running these sessions.
Namely, Laura Grimwood, Rachael Sherry & Pete Williams.
Their keenness to help their support in running RS2 is invaluable.

THANKS to Julie and Steve Horne for all their efforts in running the Rock Solid 2 group on Sunday morning in the Scout hut. The group will now be under the leadership of Pete Bone and we pray that he will be blessed in all he achieves with this age group.

Rock Solid 2 (RS2) - 11 to 14 yr olds 2nd and 4th Sundays in the Scout Hut.
I have rarely worked with such a creative group. Whenever drama or craftwork has been called for, the result shows fertile imaginations and a maturity. A high point of the last year has been creating a farewell service of thanks to David, Ann and Sarah Howard. Hopefully we helped those who came to express gratitude but also to commit to taking forward the spirit the Howards left, despite missing them very much, particularly Sarah.
We now welcome Steve and Julie Home as the new leaders with Alison Grimwood. Richard Lee and Andy and Kevin from Nexus continue to give invaluable support. We are grateful to 62nd Scouts who let us use the hut at a very discounted rate.

Rock Solid 2 is a follow-on programme from Fridayt night's Rock Solid aimed at those who want to explore faith more.
It is also written by Youth for Christ with the same dynamism and interactive style.
With around 20 young people between 11 and 14 we meet in the Scout Hut on 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month
during the morning service.
Amidst the hilarity of the games we have teased out questions like:
Should Christians dress fashionably
How do you live honesty and unselfishness without becoming a goody-goody?
What would Jesus do with Saddam Hussein?
Please pray that we would continue learning from each other and growing to live more like Jesus.
