Pulse

Pulse is in its 3rd year of running. We continue to have a regular attendance of 12 - 14 young people. Since last AGM we have had a weekend away together when we stayed at Dave & Ann Howard's, culminating in the young people leading their Sunday morning service.
This year we have led a reflective Good Friday service, which was well attended and received. We feel a Buzz about the group and young people that reflects their drawing closer together and to Jesus. It is their passion and enthusiasm for Him that has kept this group so alive and we feel privileged and blessed to be a part of this amazing and gifted group.

Report to AGM ~ April 2008

As leaders we feel blessed to work with these special young people and want to give thanks to God for Elaine and other church members for all the support they give us. Elaine comes once a term to spend time with our young people and together they have explored ways and how to pray, a 'challenge Elaine' session and she has been a support during the watching of the ' passion of the Christ'. We won't say what we have in store for next term!!!! We are having a great second year with our young people aged 15 to 17. Our numbers have remained consistent with 18 teenagers regularly attending. Pulse has been involved in voluntary work at the church including waitering at the auction night.

Highlights of the year include
  • Arranging a visit from soulful gospel choir and the combat breakers which provided a great nights entertainment for all who attended
  • Seeing 'Band With No Name' at Elim Pentecostal Church
  • Tobogganing trip at Christmas
  • A special service led by Pulse where the church hall was full and over £300 raised for Coventry youth for Christ. Thanks to Beth and Richard for organising and preparing the lovely food.

Here are a few comments by some of our members:
