We have consistently had 25 children at each open door meeting. This year we have been looking at the life of Moses, John the Baptist and Jesus calling his Disciples. We are now starting the summer term and looking at Gideon and Samuel. We have had fantastic help and support from the team - Gaynor, Sonja, Lesley, Hannah, Luke and David. We would like to thank Ingrid Paier who left at Christmas for all her help at Open Door.
We have purchased stationery and equipment like crayons and glue as we use these each session. We have lots of fun with paint, glue and cutting out!!
At Christmas time we had a magician for our Christmas Party who was fantastic. I think the adults enjoyed him more than the children!!!
We start each session with singing, then have a story and a drama. We split into two groups school years Nursery, Reception, Years 1,2 and years 3,4,5and 6 as another group. We have a craft activity each session and a prayer time. We finish all together with our "open door prayer."
Our main concern is that Open Door does need more helpers as we are a very small team and we must make sure we meet Health and Safety numbers each week. Our thanks go to people who come and help when any of the team cannot be there, especially Claire Lee, Lyria Normington and Angela Grubb.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
Steve and Dawn Sherry.

Since the last AGM we have had to say goodbye and thank you Lynn Bone for her leadership of Open Door over the previous years. The summer term ended with the open door summer outing, to Coombe Abbey
Dawn and Steve took over leading in September; we have consistently had between 25 and 35 children at each open door meeting. In the Autumn, we started by looking at the life of Paul, his salvation and his missions, then we went to the Old Testament with Joseph (we manage to revisit the "Pyramid Rock" song from last summers' Holiday Club. Then to Esther; to show that God puts people in the place he wants them to be and not just men!
We are now starting the summer term and looking at the life of Daniel. We have had fantastic help and support not only from the team - Gaynor, Ingrid, Sonja, Lesley and Greg, but from all the teenagers who help each time, especially, Hannah, Luke and David who are our resident band!!
We have purchased new material to use this year and have to keep buying other stationery and equipment like crayons and glue as we use these each session.
We start each session with singing, and then have a story and a drama. We split into two groups' school years Nursery, Reception, Year 1, 2 and 3. Year 4, 5and 6 is the other group. We have a craft activity each session and a prayer time. We finish all together with our "open door prayer." Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
Steve and Dawn Sherry.

THANKS to Angela Stafford, leader of Open Door, for her dedication to our children and young people. Her inspired art work has been much appreciated by the congregation! We are pleased that Lyn Bone has stepped forward to take Angela's place and we pray she too will be truly blessed in all she does to encourage the children of our church. Angela will still be running Holiday Club and the Light Party.

St. Bart’s Sunday children's groups (Sunday School) take place on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 10am.
We have groups for children aged 3 months to 14 years.
The children and leaders explore Christianity together through craft, games, drama, music and food.
The sessions are varied and lively, there are many activities going on.
Once a term we enjoy ‘altogether’ sessions to create something to show in the church to celebrate an important festival.
Each summer we have an outing to a theme park for all school-aged children, which proves to be very enjoyable!
So, come and join in the fun!
