Jerry Tots

Jerry Tots ~ every Monday 9.30 - 11.15 (term time only) in the Church Hall

Jerry Tots continues to be very successful. We run every Monday morning in term time and regularly have 30 plus children and babies with their parents or carers.

We thank God for all the parents who continue to bring their children along and for the strength he has given us to run this group despite being short handed.

We pray for continued guidance and inspiration and most of all that the children continue to have fun and want to come back each week.

We also pray we can show Gods love in the way that we run the group and in all our interactions with the children and their carers.

"Fun for all ages" would be an apt sub-title for this group.

We thank God for another exciting and eventful year at Jerry Tots. Christina has become a regular helper and parents are always willing to help out and interact with activities. It is great to see how they share their talents with the group and we are grateful for their generosity.

Our sponsored Pedal Push last June has been a great success and we raised a lot of money for the "Child Line" Charity. For our Christmas party we took the children to church, where Elaine told us the Christmas story. Everybody got involved and was touched by that.

The group is very busy and there are always new people turning up. This shows the continued need for a place like this and it is a great proof to our hard work.

To provide a space for parents/carers and their children, where they can meet and socialise while the children play is what keeps us going. To know that we can be a little part in their lives and help them where possible and support and listen to them.

We thank God for his continued guidance and love and blessings for Everything.

In October we asked to adopt some Grannies and Grandads and have had the most dependable, caring grandparents possible. Pam Ellis, Pat Slater and Eric and Sheila Slater have adopted the children and the activities whole-heartedly. Our numbers have almost doubled in the last 18 months to around 20 parents or carers bringing about 25 little ones. Most of our toys are donated by grateful Mums. They are a welcoming group who lend a hand clearing away or helping with the sticky or messy crafts we do making it a pleasure to run.

Between 12 and 15 Mums, Dads or childminders with up to 20 babies and toddlers we meet to play every Monday morning from 9.30 - 11.30 in the Church Hall.

We changed from Thursday afternoon and Monday morning has proved a time which suits parents much better despite the blearey-eyed Monday-look the leaders have! The change has meant losing Sue Bradley as a leader and we would like to thank her for all she put in while she could. Instead we have been joined by Chantell Reynolds whose daughter is now too old but Chantell comes every week to help and this is specially appreciated. We are working towards a mission statement of . . .

"Accompanying and supporting each other through the precious first few years of our childrens lives"

Please pray that we continue serving and supporting young families.
