Waste Watchers
Waste Watchers, no not a new slimming club but a Holiday Club where we thought about green issues, about change from rubbish tips to beautiful parks, from caterpillars to butterflies and many other things. Well more importantly about Jesus and the transformation he can bring about in our life if we let him. We had 60 - 70 children each day and lots of helpers which we give thanks to God for because without the helpers the holiday club would not happen. We sang songs, heard stories about Jesus, played games, ate food, and made all sorts of things. There is a real sense of family among the team and all pulling together to make it special for the children, many of whom have no church connections what so ever.
You could be a part of this year's holiday club which is happening 21st - 25th July 2008. Why not have a word with Greg Sampson who is overseeing the event.
